The session continued after a tea break, and shifted into the domain of mechnical properties, with Dr. Aniruddha Moitra's talk on structure-property correlations, and how these impact interpretation of fracture behaviour in ferritic-martensitic steels. Dr. Anish Kumar presented the perspective of non-destructive evaluation in his talk on precipitation and its evaluation through NDE methods. The concluding talk was given by Dr. Divakar R., in which the post-irradiation properties of SS304L(N) and SS316L(N) were described, with emphasis on low-dose irradiation.
All six talks were eagerly attended by a dedicated audience comprising members of IIM Kalpakkam chapter and scientists from IGCAR.
